Indemnity Insurance in Australia
Australia has recently had a major overhaul of the indemnity industry. This overhaul was a result of the collapse of United Medical Protection Society (UMPS) in 2002. UMPS was one of Australia’s major medical indemnity insurers and it’s collapse left a huge number of Australian doctors temporarily without indemnity cover.
