RMO (Junior) Positions
There is moderate to high demand throughout NZ for junior doctors from PGY3 ( two years+ post grad). Locum positions also currently available for PGY2 doctors. Large city north island hospital $70 per hour, ongoing.
House Surgeon General Surgery
Senior House Officer medicine/surgery $90 per hour. Small hospital (60 beds) looking for PGY4+ doctor to staff wards with some ED cover. Fairly quiet, specialists attending daily. Immediate start. Accommodation and flights provided.
House Surgeon Orthopaedic
Medium size south island hospital $75 ph, accommodation, three month term.

Registrar/CMO (Career Medical Officer) Positions
There is high demand for doctors PGY4+ (3 yrs+ post grad), especially locums & jobs for emergency doctors and medical registrars. $80-100 for long term positions and $90 to $130 for short term. There is also fairly high demand for PGY4+ doctors with psych experience. Long term psych positions typically pay $75 - 80. Specific locum & jobs available change by the hour.
